Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-04-11
1. Introduction and scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Qianjing Technology (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use Lumina AI and related services.
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, or Switzerland, this Policy is structured to reflect GDPR-style transparency and describes your rights and our obligations where applicable. By using our services, you acknowledge this Policy; if you disagree, please do not use the relevant features.
2. Data controller
For personal data processing in connection with this app, the data controller is Qianjing Technology. For privacy inquiries, please contact us using the details at the end of this Policy.
3. Categories of data we collect
To deliver AI photo processing and to improve our product, we may process the following categories of information:
• Image content: photos or image files you upload or select for processing, and related metadata (such as resolution or format, depending on your device and permissions).
• Usage and service data: in-app feature usage, session and diagnostic information (such as crash logs and performance metrics), device or app identifiers where lawful and strictly necessary, and approximate region or language preferences if provided by the system or by you.
We do not ask for sensitive personal data unrelated to photo processing; if you voluntarily provide it, we will process it only to the extent necessary for the stated purposes.
4. Purposes and legal bases (including GDPR)
Where GDPR applies, we may rely on one or more of the following legal bases: performance of a contract with you; compliance with a legal obligation; legitimate interests that are not overridden by your rights (for example, securing the service and preventing abuse); or your consent where required by law.
Primary purposes include: providing, maintaining, and improving Lumina AI enhancement and restoration features; protecting account and service security; analyzing usage to optimize experience; complying with legal obligations; and, where consent is obtained, communicating with you as described at collection.
5. AI processing and automated decisions
Your images may be processed by machine learning and generative models operated by us or by vetted vendors to deliver sharpening, restoration, color adjustments, and similar effects.
Processing is carried out to provide the features you request. We may use de-identified or aggregated information to improve models, applying data minimization and access controls where feasible. Where required by law, we will provide information about automated decision-making and, where applicable, human review or objection mechanisms.
6. Storage, cloud infrastructure, and retention
To operate the service, data may be stored on secure cloud infrastructure, including servers that may be located outside your country or region, with safeguards such as encryption, access controls, and auditing. Specific cloud regions and subprocessors may be listed in-app or provided upon request where legally required.
We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. After that, we delete or anonymize data unless retention is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
7. Sharing and international transfers
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers who assist with infrastructure, analytics, and security under contractual confidentiality and security obligations, and only as needed.
Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions, or other lawful mechanisms as required, and can provide additional information upon request.
8. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.
You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (for example, in your EU member state). To exercise your rights, contact us using the email below; we may need to verify your identity to protect your account.
9. Children
Our services are not directed at collecting information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have processed a child’s information inappropriately, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps promptly.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy from time to time; material changes may be communicated through in-app notices or on this website. Continued use may constitute acceptance where permitted by law.
